- What does my money go towards?
The money goes towards paying for the hosting of the site and the software that runs dallasdancemusic.com. We will also use the donations to develop new features on the site.
- Is there a cost to donate (paypal commission)?
Paypal doesn't charge you anything to donate, but they do charge us a commission. Paypal and e-check payments are 1.7% + 30¢. Credit card donations cost us 2.9% + 30¢.
- How much can I donate?
You can donate as little as you like. If you want to make a substantial donation, that's your prerogative as well, however there are no privileges that come with larger donations.
- Is my donation tax-deductible?
No. Sorry, but we don't have non-profit tax status, even though we don't profit directly from donations.
- Is my donation anonymous?
Your donation and amount will be kept confidential. Only you, and our accountant will be privy to the details of your donation. We do this in order to remain objective - so we can be objective in how we moderate the board and to help keep the people of this community in a fair perception with each other. On the dance floor you don't know anyone's financial standing, so we want it to be same here.
